Minnesota Adventure Camp was founded by Travis Guida and Sarah Coumbe-Guida upon opening their business, the Character Challenge Course. Sarah and Travis are Minnesota educators in the public school system and recreation directors for Eagle Beach Resort in the summer months. They have facilitated team building programs for college athletes, corporate retreats, and dozens of schools. They have high energy, an intense passion for leadership, inspiration, and a Minnesota summer camp ready to build memories and character for your son.
Being around children is something they feel they were born to do. They speak on behavior modification and parent trainings, and enjoy time with their five children.
Sarah began as the recreation direction and childrens' and teen program director at age 16 at Eagle Beach Resort. She has over 20 years of experience with program development, outdoor education, and working with youth. Travis has worked in the same arena for 12 years at Eagle Beach Resort. We select only the finest counselors to faciliate programming, guide your son in character development, and build lifelong skills and relationships. Our staff are college students, as well as public school teachers, social workers, and youth coordinators. Much of the ropes course instruction and leadership training is given by the directors, as well as a lead facilitator who is a retired military personnel. Our staff have a love of outdoors, adventure, and helping youth attain their fullest potential. Our staff undergo extensive training, background checks, reference checks, and an interview process. This is done according to ACA standards and Minnesota Adventure Camp is proud to have counselors that will connect with your son, keep him safe, and provide an environment of learning and fun. An exciting aspect of MAC is that your son can return after graduation as a camp counselor or perhaps be able to receive an internship opportunity at camp or at the Character Challenge Course Company (C4).
